I even went out and bought sheets that went perfectly with it, put those on first, THEN I put the bed skirt on - by myself! - nearly getting a hernia in the process... but it went PERFECTLY with the new sheets, which were a lighter green, same color family... FINALLY got the skirt all on, now the top sheet... blanket... lets get them all tucked in, can't have them hanging down below the comforter on the bottom corners.... Ahhhh - all, done. Finally. NOW I can finally get that new comforter on - I just KNOW it's going to look great with the Oriental rug... Hmmm... Something's not right... not big enough. It's not covering the sides? It's GOT to be the wrong size. Oh well, it happens, it's WalMart... Wait... here's the size: 101" x 86". One hundred ONE by EIGHTY six?!? No, that can't be right. Quick. Check the WalMart website. Well CRUD. That IS all the bigger it is!! What the heck?!? Check "king comforter standard size" - 110" x 96". So why are we selling one that's nearly a foot shorter BOTH WAYS??? This thing might fit an old king-size mattress from the 1960's... or maybe 1860's... but it's never gonna make it on THIS bed. Why oh WHY didn't I try the COMFORTER FIRST!??! Sometimes I think I'll never learn... you often get what you pay for. FWIW - the ONLY reason I gave this two stars and not just one is because it really does look very pretty, even though the KING size is way, WAY too small... and for $50 for a comforter, bed skirt, two shams and 3 pillows... one can't expect perfection. ALSO fwiw, if anyone DOES opt to buy this comforter, for a twin bed, for instance, or maybe buy a queen-size set for a full-size bed... I knew for $50 it would be lightweight and probably not last long, but thought for the money, it was a good buy. When I got it home and put it on the bed, it DID NOT cover my bed, It did not cover the sides at all (did not cover the mattress on both sides) and it was WAY too short lengthwise. I even checked the tag on the set too make sure it was really a King and not just put in a bag marked King. Sadly, it goes back today and I begin my search all over again.
