This is a great book for little ones. My six month old enjoys playing with it! It has an adorable poem or rhyme on each page in the book and is fun to either sing or read to your little one. Each page also has a cute flap that hangs outside of the book with crinkly paper inside the fabric. Not only are the pictures vibrant and adorable, the book is soft to the touch with no hard corners to poke the baby. To make it even better it comes with a handle (my four year old loves to carry it around and play with it with her little sister). If you're looking for an entertaining soft silky book for your little one to play with, I highly suggest picking this up! I received this product for free in exchange for an honest review. Not only is this book lightweight but it's full of fun, it kept my little one entertained during the 5 hour flight and our car rides in Mexico. It has fun, vibrant colors that will catch your little ones attention. It's also very easy to wash, my little one spilled juice on it but we just threw it in the washer and air dried it. It was back t new. My daughter will be 6 months old soon and she loves this little book already. All the lift flaps are crinkly and she loves grabbing them while we read to her. Shine-a-light, Freddie! takes you out in the garden to meet many new friends. I love that this is a easy early introduction to reading and animals, insects and more. The back of the book offers some great tips. My son had a similar book when he was a baby that he would just stare at for the longest time, so I am so happy that now my daughter has one too. This book is GREAT for babies. Although it says 12 months and up, I would say 3 months and up. My little one would just look at each page for 5 minutes, looking at everything (while I was holding it up). The pages are made of fabric and are soft and have crinkly areas throughout the book. Every page has a little peek-a-boo flap that you have to flip to see what is underneath. The wording flows nicely with rhyme, making the story fun to listen to - almost feels like a short song. The story is about Freddie, who flies around the garden and meets all sorts of friends including birds, ladybugs and more. After a long day of exploring, the story ends with Freddie going to sleep. My daughter LOVES looking at all of the pages and turning the flaps to see what is underneath. I think this should be a staple purchase for any baby!
