The Testo 0560 6062 Pocket PRO Moisture Meter with RH and Temperature is a compact hygrometer designed for one-handed measurement of material moisture, air moisture, and temperature so that drying conditions can be monitored on-site. It has an operating temperature range of 14 to 122 degrees F and resolution of 0.1% RH (relative humidity) and specific characteristic curves for different types of wood and other industrial materials. With a negative temperature coefficient (NTC) type probe (sold separately) the relative humidity measurement range of this hygrometer is 0 to 100% with an accuracy of + or - 2.5% RH between 5 and 95% RH; with a conductive measurement cell type probe (sold separately) the measurement range is 0 to 50% with an accuracy of + or - 1% RH; and with a capacitive humidity sensor type probe (sold separately) the measurement range is 0 to 100% RH with an accuracy of + or - 2.5% RH between 5 and 95% RH. This hygrometer measures wood moisture with characteristics curves for beech, spruce, larch, oak, pine, and maple, and additional characteristics curves exist for cement screed, concrete, plaster, anhydrite screed, cement mortar, and brick. This device also includes dew point calculation and a wet bulb. It has a hold function as well as a backlit LCD, which provides readability in low-light conditions. The hygrometer comes with a self-test function and has a protective cap for safe storage. It uses two AAA batteries (included) that have a battery life of approximately 130 hours and comes with a wrist strap and belt clip. The meter measures 119 x 46 x 25 mm (H x W x D) (including protective cap). (H is height, the vertical distance from the lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back.)

Hygrometers measure the moisture content, or humidity, in the environment, either as relative humidity (percentage of moisture in the air) or as absolute humidity (amount of moisture in the air). Some hygrometers can also measure temperature, dew point, and pressure. Handheld hygrometers are compact devices that use attached probes to take measurements and have a digital screen to report measurements. Other hygrometers utilize transmitters to send measurements from probes placed in ducts or outside environments to an output device; one example of this type is a weather forecasting hygrometer. Hygrometers are used in laboratories, storage areas, greenhouses, saunas, humidors, industrial and residential settings, and museums. Hygrometers can form part of devices called humidistats to help control humidifiers or dehumidifiers to regulate the humidity of the air.
