I take one to two bottles of BRAND’S® InnerShine® RubyCollagen Essence a day and I could feel that my skin is more supple and radiant. Fine lines under my eyes are less visible and there is an improvement is my skin’s hydration too.

The liquid is pinkish in colour and tastes much like sweet cherry. I love it! Definitely one of the better tasting collagens for sure! So palatable to the taste buds. Be sure to chill it in the fridge before drinking! I have about 6 bottles and finished them all within 3 days! I don't know whether was it psychological or was it for real, my skin did feel like it was radiant! And this was even though I didn't sleep well at night because Baby Daniel was coughing a lot and I was afraid he might throw up so I only slept lightly.

I had tried BRAND’S® Innershine® RubyCollagen Essence strips quite long ago but I had it as a snack thus I did not record how effective the product was. However, if I were to choose between the strips and drinks, I'll opt for the essence drinks because to me, it's quick and fast to consume, quenches my thirst, soothes my dry throat at night and early morning after I woke up. They taste better when chilled in fridge.

The essences tasted sweet and there wasn't any fishy odour or taste at all (at least for me). The essence was quite thickalmost gel-like, reminded me of promegrante and left a tiny bit of sticky texture in my mouth. It didn't taste unnatural. I'm used to drinking different kinds of collagen drinks and this essence that comes in pretty thick viscosity is my preferred kind rather than thin, watery type.

At the start of the course, I had my first bottle during the noon, then the remaining bottles during the day and night (twice a day). The last bottle was consumed on the 7th day in the evening.

I've seen a rather big difference in my skin for the past 5 years and felt that I've really aged alot, almost like 10 yrs of aging. I did not consume much food or supplement containing collagen that could help to make me look young so I personally felt that my skin now is many years older than how I should look like at my age and I age faster than others (mostly due to gene, lifestyle, stress, lack of sleep and rest).

Being able to try RubyCollagen Essence drinks would allow me to understand how collagen products could help combat my current problem.

Aside from looking at mirror to compare before and after, I also took close up photos of my skin. I felt that a one-week course was kind of short so I probably couldn't tell the difference by looking at my skin with bare eyes.

Anyhoo, here're the photos of Before and After:

Just so you know, I was having some pretty bad break outs prior to the 7-day course after I returned from Korea.
I had really oily skin with very dehydrated skin surface (it kept producing sebum to hydrate the surface) resulting in quite many clogged pores and inflammation. Some of the inflammation subsided and turned to post acne scars (brown spots on my face). Pores were large too because of high sebum production.

As you can see on the most left of both above and below photos, my pores are large with very visible skin texture lines that run diagonally across my skin. The lines kind of indicate that my skin is not firm and it is sagging due to lack of elasticity. This sagging issue tend to cause my nasolabial folds (laugh lines) to appear deeper and result in redness on the particular area too (because of too much pulling effect on my skin).

After I consumed the 12 bottles of RubyCollagen Essence, here're my thoughts:
- sebum production reduced a little
- was still experiencing both open and closed comedones (inflammation) on my skin
- skin felt tiny bit of radiant
- skin felt more supple and smooth
- healing process for my scars increased slightly
- nasolabial folds appear more plumped however redness still shows
- overall felt a little firmer than usual
- makeup last a little longer and didn't look too patchy and dry

In the photo comparison, after my last bottle of essence you can see that the differences showed up greatly in terms of:
- pore size reduced from oval and longish shapes to circle/dots (ignore the glossiness on my skin, that was taken after I applied skincare)
- the diagonal skin texture lines became shorter thus less pulling of skin
- skin texture lines appear closer to one another which means tighter skin

I was actually more amazed of the results provided by the photos I took than the feeling I got by running my hands across my face or by looking at it. Within a short 1-week (supposely 6-day) course, my skin appeared firmer and skin texture improved all thanks to the micro-collagen and the ingredient Astaxanthin in the essence drinks which provides far more times of collagen, anti-oxidant, Vit C & Vit E than the usual collagen products. Also because the powerful ingredient included, I could see the effectiveness and how my skin kinda 'rebuild' and rejuvenate itself within such a short time frame. This happened only for 7-day, I wonder how I would look like if I go for the 6-week course.

I'm glad that I had religiously consumed all 12 bottles within a week's time (last time I would forget or get lazy). By doing so, I'm able to see the effect almost immediately and be able to determine its efficacy. If you do try them too, remember not to stop drinking midway otherwise you would not see the difference at the end of the course. ^,^

I'm actually also hoping I could continue the habit of consuming collagen products since it did good to my type of skin (tired, fatigue, acne-prone yet dehydrated and aging) however one pack contains only 12 bottles. Sometimes I would skip consuming after I finished a pack and then the skin plumping effect kinda subsides. To buy more than 12 bottles at one go would be difficult for me too but luckily, this time they retail them online (link below) so all of you need not worry about lugging heavy bottles back home anymore since they deliver to your doorsteps. ^-^
