The brainiacs at ExOfficio made this hooded shirt out of polyester and spandex for a comfortable amount of stretch and sun protection rated to UPF 50+, and then added Icefil technology (containing xylitol derived from birch trees) to wick moisture and keep you at a solid five degrees cooler than the air around you. Icefil technology also gives this shirt antimicrobial properties to control odor. ExOfficio also added mesh panels at the sides for ventilation, a full-coverage scuba hood and thumbholes for extra coverage, and a zippered pocket for security.

Weight: 170lbsThe Ultimate Hoody is perfect sun protection. It has saved my skin from fly fishing in Florida to climbing in Eldorado. I love it's light weight stretchy fabric and the cooling treatment really helps especially when carrying a pack. The venting on the hood and mesh under the arms is a really nice touch as well.
