Weighing as much as a penny, it is incredibly strong and nearly unbendable . This unique carabiner is only 2mm thick (thickness of a key), yet 5 times stronger than steel and 40% lighter than aluminum. How? Each row of the 3K twill is a bundle of 3,000 individual carbon fibers, each of which measuring at only 1/20th the width of a human hair. Layers of the woven fibers are laid one atop another and then infused with epoxy resin and cured. The result is one of the strongest, most durable substances known to man.
The carabiner fits neatly on your key ring, on your backpack, or to hold anything else while adding nearly no weight. *This is not rated for climbing and should not be used for hoisting people.* This carabiner features a matte finish on both sidesto provide a beautifully silky look and scratch resistance.
