The original design galileo came up in 1609 is commonly called a galilean telescope. It uses two lenses to produce magnified upright images. This telescope expands to 18", collapses to just 7". It comes with a hardwood box brass fittings for storage. The telescope itself is of solid brass,a leather wrap for a secure grip .
