The top's secret is the mini gyroscope contained within, which allows the top to rotate at impressively high speeds using the included battery-powered magnetic paddle. When the top is secured into the base of the paddle, the magnetic boosters interact with the top's gyroscope to set it spinning at unprecedented RPMs. When attached to the paddle, the spinning top locks into the base, and defies gravity as it stays attached to the paddle no matter how you hold or orient it, until you press the release button. Once the top has reached your desired speed, drop it onto any surface, and when the top begins to slow down, you can "scoop" it up into the paddle and recharge it in seconds.
