To be able to do my hair and makeup while wearing this on. I didn't want a bulky heavy robe. I know you get what you pay for but this robe is oK. I am 5 feet 2 inches tall and for me it's a good size length robe for my arms it is a 3/4 quarter sleeve perfect for someone small like me that doesn't like having to roll up the sleeves. Perfect for that, unfortunately this robe runs small. I should have gotten a medium instead of a small. Some reviews here are.... are all over the place. I can tell you this much, if you are curvy like me you might want to consider sizing up one size then your regular size. Overall it is cute and I am using it just for my grooming this is definitely NOT something you want to use straight out of the shower and wrap yourself into. this it is not for that in my opinion. In short - I LOVE THEM! Couldn't find a better deal anywhere and what luck that they were in my wedding colors! I read some reviews that they were too short - I'm 5'11" 140lb and a Small reached almost to my knees and there was plenty of overlap for coverage in the front. There were other reviews that said the material was cheap -- while it wasn't too plush, it isn't rough at all and perfect for what I ordered them for.
