Featuring a heavy-duty power cord with a standard US 3-prong plug, the STU-N-5000 has a total of 6 AC outputs, 2 designated for 110V with US standard outlets, the other 4 for 220V, 2 universal outlets plus 2 German/Schuko outlets, and a 5V standard USB port. br>
Prior to purchasing a voltage transformer, in order to avoid users' frustrations and unnecessary returns, it is extremely important to check and find out what your appliance's Maximum Power Consumption (MPC) in watts is. The MPC must be less than this transformer's Maximum Load Capacity (MLC), which is 5000 watts, or it will NOT work. For safety concerns and optimal results, the manufacturer recommends that the transformer's MLC should be equal or greater than your appliance's MPC multiplied by 1.5. Therefore this transformer with an MLC of 5000 watts is most suitable and cost-effective for appliance such as vacuum cleaners, refrigerators, espresso machines, commercial food mixers and blenders with the Maximum Power Consumption (MPC) between 2500 and 3500 watts.

In addition, for an appliance that generates an in-rush current for a brief time to start from idle, such as a refrigerator, an air conditioner, or a laser printer, the in-rush current could be 3-7 times as much as it's normal current. Please take this into consideration when choosing a voltage transformer for your application.

In the US, the most common electrical outlets in the US are 15A or 20A. When a device with an MPC of 2,500 watts or higher is used with a transformer, it is recommended to plug the transformer into an 30A or 50A outlet to prevent the circuit breaker from being repeatedly tripped.
