The BioCeramix coating is composed of several layers of non-stick coating bonded to a reinforced ceramic base creating a non-stick cooking surface that is always smooth and completely impermeable. The coating has no PFOAs and is 100% lead-free. Each Pensofal pan features a stainless steel plate bonded to the outside surface of the aluminum bottom which promotes even heat distribution across the pan's bottom and makes the pan suitable for all cooking applications including electric, gas, and induction. The BioCeramix coating is applied to both the inside and the outside of each pan making cleanup easy. The pan is dishwasher safe. The Bakelite handle is designed for comfort with a soft touch treatment for a safer grip. The handle is heat resistant up to 700 degrees fahrenheit.
