The sunflower seed are cold pressed to extract the oil. The oil, extracted from sunflower seeds, is rich in the essential fatty acid linoleic acid, as well as palmitic acid and stearic acid, all components of healthy skin. The amount of linoleic acid in skin declines with age and can be stripped by harsh soaps and cleansers. Sunflower oil can be used as the primary vegetable oil within lotion, salt scrub, bath oil and massage oil formulas. The expected shelf life of sunflower oil is about one year, however adding pure vitamin E may help extend that. Sunflower Oil helps to moisturize, regenerate, and condition the skin. It is especially useful in formulations intended for mature, sensitive, dry or damaged skin.Feature
