The filament is heated up and melted at the tip of the pin and when you like to "Draw" your design, just press a button to push out the melted filament, the filament will be cold by the air and "frozen" while you draw :) You can create a key chain, a mini car, a toy, or just have fun with it.

If you know how to draw, you will be able to use 3D pen :) It might not be as nice as 3D printer, but 3D pen offer you another rapid prototyping experience.
