It is suitable for a wide range of applications， including electrical insulation， strain relief， cable bonding， color-coding and identification.When heated the tube shrinks to 1\/3 of it's diameter and the adhesive lining melts and flows around the material being covered giving a permanent weatherproof bond.Due to the way heat shrink tube manufactured， it is often a little larger than its stated pre-shrunk size， however the tube will always shrink to 1\/3 of the stated pre-shrunk size.
