Clark Ancient Tartan Lambswool Scarf. Wrap yourself up in warm, fuzzy, lambswool to keep warm on a cold day! Made from 100% lambswool tartan. Finished size of 12" x 58", with purled ends. RELATED NAMES include: Clarke, Clarkson, Clerk, Cleary, MacCleary, while the Clarks are also recognized as a sept of the proud clans MacPherson and Cameron. With the derivation of their name found in the Latin 'clericus', denoting a scholar, scribe, or secretary, the ancestors of the Clarks of today preformed an important function by acting as scribes for both the Church and the Monarchy. Although found all over Scotland, an important family territory was the area of Penicuik, in Midlothian, with Penicuik House built in the late eighteenth century for Sir James Clerk of Penicuik.
