I'm a beginner and this suits my purposes just fine. With the USB cable I can download cache information from geocaching.com. If I had a paid membership to said site, I'd be able to download all the cache information. But I'm not ready to go that route yet. What I get in my download is the cache name, coordinates and difficulty level. That's enough for my needs for now. I'm still learning how to use everything, but I've located five five cache's with it so far and it is very accurate out in the open. There is some signal bouncing in wooded areas.
