It is quality built. Make sure you remind your little one not to put the diary key inside the book and close it. It will lock and it is not easy to open. It can be open, I didn't do the opening. My son spent time figuring it out. I will get back with details. She feels like she's part of a secret club, it's a joy to see her feeling all grown up. The only downfall is the spoken password isn't recognized even though she says it the same way everytime.
