The Redbird TPE1 Borosilicate Glass Teapot is perfect for small-pot tea brewing. This cute, contemporary clear glass pot is perfect for blooming flower teas, fine loose leaf tea, herbal teas and tisanes. This 600 mL brewing vessel (ca. 20 oz.) has a brewing capacity of approximately three cups of tea. Great for tea for one or two! Made of highly durable borosilicate glass, the brewing vessel and lid are far more resistant than Pyrex to thermal shock. This glass does not break easily and it can tolerate wide temperature fluctuations. The filled pot can be used over flame on the range or on a tea warmer. This pot is hand-finished for durable shine and clarity. It is dishwasher and microwave safe. The 100 mL capacity tea basket 304-grade stainless steel and is dishwasher safe. Finely perforated sides and bottom encourage maximum circulation of tea water yet keep fine sencha and small tea particles inside. Spring clasps keep filter snug for pouring, but allow for quick and easy removal for short infusions. Great for fast-steeping pu erh tea, and for quick removal any tea leaves before their flavor profile goes from perfect to bitter. The glass lid has a vapor hole and can be used with or without the tea basket inserted into the pot. Glass and Stainless Steel meets all FDA and California Prop 68 standards.
