Features

This is a 2-Channel 5V Relay module. It allows the control of various appliances, and equipments with larger current directly by microcontroller (Raspberry Pi, Arduino, 8051, PIC, etc.)

Specification

  • 2 optical isolators (see below for optical isolation)
  • Separate power sources for relays (JD-Vcc) and optical isolators (Vcc)
  • 2 relay status LEDs
  • 4 mounting holes
  • 2 SRD-05VDC-SL-C relays: AC250V 10A ; DC30V 10A
  • Only use 2 I/O pins on the Arduino

Connection for Arduino

  1. Normal Operation (no isolation)
    • Connect the jumper between "Vcc" and "JD-Vcc" (relays and optical isolators share the power source).
    • Connect "Vcc" to Arduino +5V and GND to Arduino Ground.
    • Connect Arduino Digital Output pins to "IN0", "IN1" etc.
  2. Optical Isolation
    • Remove the jumper between "Vcc" and "JD-Vcc".
    • Connect "Vcc" to Arduino +5V but do NOT connect GND to Arduino Ground.
    • Connect Arduino Digital Output pins to "IN0", "IN1" etc.
    • Connect an external +5V power supply to "JD-Vcc" and GND.
    • This will supply power to the transistor drivers and relay coils.

Connection for Raspberry Pi

  1. Normal Operation (no isolation)
    • Remove the jumper between "Vcc" and "JD-Vcc".
    • Connect "Vcc" to Raspberry Pi +3.3V and GND to Raspberry Pi Ground.
    • Connect "JD-Vcc" to Raspberry Pi +5V.
    • Connect Raspberry Pi GPIO pins to "IN0", "IN1" etc.
  2. Optical Isolation
    • Remove the jumper between "Vcc" and "JD-Vcc".
    • Connect "Vcc" to Raspberry Pi +3.3V but do NOT connect GND to Raspberry Pi Ground.
    • Connect Raspberry Pi GPIO to "IN0", "IN1" etc.
    • Connect an external +5V power supply to "JD-Vcc" and GND.
    • This will supply power to the transistor drivers and relay coils.
