The pheasant call, when blown correctly, will flush pheasants in your area. Hold call properly by snugging up call tight between thumb and index fingers at base of the larger barrel. Cup your hand, but don't close it complete. Blow hard, as saying "See-Q, See-Q", to get the proper tone and repeat this five to seven times, cutting off at end of each "See-Q" note.
