I decided to avoid the melted plastic in the container and try using the wax on the bottom of the tray. Lucky me, that didn't work either; my eyebrows are still hairy. They've just gained a lovely burned red tint. Come to realize this product won't even stay melted long enough to even put it on. I think I got more wax on the stick then I even did my face. I read the instructions thoroughly, and was set to go. I microwaved the wax for 90 seconds, let stand for a minute, took it out and it was still hard. I repeated, like the instructions stated by 15 second intervals (did 2 intervals). Finally was melted, & proceeded to the bathroom, but when I tried to apply it it was already half hardened & wouldn't stick to my face. It was sticking to the apply stick more than it was to my face. This will be my last purchase I will ever make from the brand Sally Hansen. I've tried there face wax strips, and was a bit better, but would never recommend. This product is AWFUL! First, it didn't take 90 seconds to heat the product. It didn't take 2 minutes to heat the product to spreadable consistency. Heck, after 2 minutes the product was barely pliable. It took a full 20 minutes heating and stirring to get the product workable. Even then it was thick and barely spreadable. Second, the thimble of wax will last about 2 applications for the chin... MAYBE. Third, the plastic spatula is a poor substitute for the wooden sticks. Fourth, the Simple Spa experience was FAR SUPERIOR to this. This product left hair behind that the Simple Spa would not. I suspect the inferior heating. Fifth, the wax is a mess at the end and the wax sticks to the spatula. I can only hope Sally Hansen will return to the Simple Spa.
