Pyohex Shampoo

The Chlorhexidine in PYOHEX works by binding to hair and penetrating the follicle via a wicking action down the hair shaft, to eliminate bacteria in situ. Chlorhexidine kills bacteria by disrupting the cell membrane and precipitating the cell contents. PYOHEX binds strongly to the skin and hair, resulting in a 4 day residual action. As Chlorhexidine is poorly absorbed through the skin, PYOHEX is completely safe. 

PYOHEX contains an advanced surfactant base that removes abnormal lipids that occur due to bacterial lipases. PYOHEX does not dry or strip the coat of essential lipids needed to prevent transepidermal water loss, a process that promotes infection. PYOHEX is pH neutral, specifically designed for canine skin. 

Directions for Use:

First wet the coat, then sponge PYOHEX onto the animal’s coat and allow to stand for 10 minutes then rinse thoroughly. This is the minimum contact time to ensure antimicrobial activity. Bath twice weekly until symptom abate and then weekly or as directed by your veterinarian. 

Shampoo contains: 

3% Chlorhexidine Gluconate - A proven antibacterial with activity against gram positive bacteria ie. Staphylococcus intermedius and gram negative bacteria.

Non-toxic, non-irritating, with a 4 day residual activity

Pyohex Conditioner

• Available in 200ml only 
• An aid in the treatment and the prevention of recurrence of superficial dermatitis associated with Staphylococcus intermedius infections in dogs. 
• Antibiotic therapy is recommended for the initial control of infection or where deep pyodermas exist. 
• For use on dogs and puppies

As Chlorhexidine is poorly absorbed through the skin, PYOHEX Conditioner is completely safe when used as directed.

PYOHEX Conditioner is a leave-on medicated, coat conditioning lotion designed to be used in conjunction with Dermcare Pyohex Medicated Shampoo or other appropriate product, as recommended by your Veterinarian.

PYOHEX Conditioner is pH neutral, specifically designed for canine skin.

Directions for Use:

First shampoo with an appropriate antibacterial shampoo, such as Pyohex Medicated Shampoo, as recommended by your veterinarian. Apply to damp coat by placing a small amount into the palm of your hand spread evenly over both hands, then massage gently into coat over entire body. Use approximately 1 mL per kilogram of body weight for the dog. Do not rinse after application. 

Conditioner contains:
