- Using "Loreal x tenso" OR "Shiseido Crystallizing" Straight for the first time can be a bit nerve wracking especially if it’s the first time you’re straightening your own hair.  Instructions for "Loreal x tenso" OR "Shiseido Crystallizing"Straight vary from salon to salon and website to website but the instruction that we give for our "Loreal x tenso" OR "Shiseido Crystallizing" Straight are as follows.
- Before you start, with most other skin creams you should always conduct an allergy test to make sure you are not allergic to the cream. Before applying "Loreal x tenso" OR "Shiseido Crystallizing" Straight we do recommend you shampoo your hair, at this point it may be a good idea to apply a conditioning treatment to your hair to give it a layer of protection. 

Next we advise to put rubber gloves on to protect your hands from the cream.  Starting from the nape of the neck and using an applicator comb the application through the hair, from front to back, the application you use will depend on what type of hair you have, for example either "Loreal x tenso" OR "Shiseido Crystallizing".

- The next step is important, it is at this point the hair molecules get broken down and leaving the cream in for too long can result in frizzy looking hair, we recommend leaving the application in for about 10 – 20 minutes but this depends on hair length and thickness. One great way to test if the application needs to be left in longer (or to see if it has worked) is to take a strand of hair and pull it; if the hair is quite elastic and stretches out the application has done its job.

- If your hair is springy and decide the first application is done, simply wash it out with warm water, do not wash with shampoo or the finished hair won’t look as straight.  You can either blow dry your hair or simply leave it dry naturally before proceeding with the next stage.  With a set of quality ceramic hair straighteners straighten small sections of hair of about 2.5cm (1inch) long; damaged hair should be straightened at about 14-16000c and healthy hair at about 1800c.

- As with the first application apply the Neutralizing cream at the nape of the neck and brush through with the applicator comb being sure to really cover the hair in cream. Comb the hair dead straight and do not move the hair for around 20-30 minutes, once this is done, wash the hair out with warm water (again, do not use shampoo).

For best results do not wash your hair for at least 72 hours, do not tuck your hair behind your ears or in a ponytail, it’s best to let the hair fall naturally with no coloring or any other chemicals for at least 2 weeks.

- Using "Loreal x tenso" OR "Shiseido Crystallizing" Straight really is not as complicated as it sounds and the results look fantastic with smooth straight hair that requires very little maintenance!
