Ume plum is kept as a traditional medicine in almost every household in Japan. Ranked as the “blue diamond” of fruits, ume plum is rich in calcium, iron and phosphorous. It has many health benefits including improving sugar metabolism, enhancing the function of the liver and kidneys, dissolving and expelling poisonous matter, improving digestion and killing bacteria causing dysentry, cholera and other diseases.
Nature’s Glory umeboshi is Japanese plum pickled with sea salt, dried for 3-4 days and nights during the hottest days in summer, then pickled again with shiso leaves, duly certified organic by OCIA. (Use one piece of umeboshi per person per day).
Ingredients : Organic Ume Plum (Japanese Plum), Shiso Leaves and Sea Salt.
Storage : Keep in cool place. Refrigerate when opened.
