I was really surprised that the dress was SO cute when my daughter put it on. She loves playing and pretending like she is getting married and this dress is perfect for that! The dress has body to The bottom of it so it poofs out. The top is made of a felt material and silk. The headpiece has a rubberized material to it so it can adjust to different head sizes. We got a size medium and it fits my daughter and she will still have some growing room. She is 4years old and in a size 4, sometimes 5. She flips the vail over her face and then back on the back of her hair when hey say kiss the bride (she's been to a few weddings). When I saw this item, I was blown away at how beautiful it was compared to the ones I'd seen so I was excited to receive it and have her try it on. This is probably one of the most comfortable and well-made Halloween costumes I have ever seen. My daughter (age 7) loves it and can't wait to wear it next year. The fabric is super soft making it perfect for her to wear to her school Halloween parade as well as for trick-or-treating. I was very impressed when I took it out of the bag. The bottom half of the gown has several layers to it, to make it nice and full. I just fluffed it up a bit when I took it out of the bag, and it looked great. The top of the gown looks like a fancy tank top, it's nice and soft. It has a few flowery designs that make it look fancy. The design itself makes it easy to slide right over a child's head. There are shoulder straps on each side, but what really holds it up is the tank top part, which I think is a very smart idea. If it was just being held up by the shoulder straps, I could see it falling down or ripping. It also comes with a veil to wear. Any young girl would love to play dress up and feel like a real bride in this gown.
