I can't rate the camera/video bc we haven't used it yet. Although that's one of the main reasons I bought this was bc it took pics and video. That being said I give it 4 stars bc even not using the camera, it's very fun. It's pretty much ready to fly right out of the box. It takes a couple hrs to charge and we've been getting about 8-10 min of fly time. (Prob be less if we were using the camera) I bought 2 of these, one for my hubby and one for my 10 yr old son for Christmas. Both are learning as these are our first drones. I was skeptical about everything since we had no prior experience but I can happily say that the drones do everything it says it will. They have had pretty hard landings on concrete and they are very durable. We are in a residential neighborhood and they fly the drones together no problem. At first I thought the little time that u actually get to 'fly' would be not enough and at least my 10 yr old would get bored but both times we've used them, the amount of time they are 'flying' goes by kinda slow, they have a blast and there has been no complaints. The drones are getting both my 'boys' off the video games and outside having fun together. I don't think they will lose interest in these and can see this hobby lasting a long time. Would recommend this for a 10 yr old onto an adult. I am having almost as much fun watching and videoing them as they are.
