The Pilot Direct Air Jacket, A New Standard in Quality and Afordability

Exterior Construction

The outer shell of the Direct Air jacket is made up of ultra strong Pilotex 210D Micro Mesh. Unlike older or cheaper mesh materials, Pilotex Mesh has a finer, multi-layer perforation that flows just as much air, but due to a tighter weave offers increased abrasion/puncture resistance. For further protection 600D NPF overlay panels cover the shoulders and elbows with triple and double stitched seams throughout.

Interior Construction

The inner shell features a zip-out removable waterproof/windproof liner that will keep the rider warm and dry when the weather turns. Soft touch mesh fabric lines the inside and all armor pockets are backed with soft fabric for added comfort while moving about the bike.

CE Approved Micro Cellular Armor

Removable CE Level 2 armor is in place on both the shoulders and elbows of the jacket. Micro cellular armor is designed to absorb and disperse impact as opposed to traditional hard armor which transfers much of the force to the wearer.

Neoprene Collar

Rolled Neoprene Collar

The collar of the Direct Air jacket is made of thick rolled neoprene. The soft surface prevents chaffing during repeated lane check head movements, and the squishy nature of neoprene prevents the collar from stabbing or pinching the rider.

Red Tab Visibility System

Pilot's Red Tab system is in use throughout the jacket. All crucial pockets and attachment points are highlighted in red accents for increased visibility in low light conditions.

Hi-Visibility and Reflectivity

Visibility, Both Day and Night

Reflective 3M Scotchlite strips on the chest, arms, and back allow for 360° reflective action while riding at night. During the day the Hi-Vis color option helps make the rider more visible to less focused drivers.
