Q: Why is your vitamin C serum more expensive than the others?
A: Potent-C™ Serum is manufactured in small batches so that you will always receive fresh and quality vitamin C serum. We state the ingredients to be 10% L-ascorbic acid (the more active form of vitamin C) and 10% of vitamin C ester for added stability and reduced irritation to the skin. Hence, it can be used on sensitive skin as well. Hyaluronic acid is added into the formula for that added hydration. Potent-C™ Serum can also be used post-laser or -chemical treatments to aid in the skin cellular recovery. Specially formulated to reduce the number of other inactive ingredients yet embracing only quality ingredients, Potent-C™ Serum is the answer to your glorious skin.
Q: How do I store the serum?
A: Once you have started using it, you may store in the refrigerator or, for convenience, you may leave it in a cool, dry place as users generally finish one bottle between 3 to 8 weeks (depending on usage).
Even though the vitamin C used in the formulation is stabilised vitamin C, it will oxidise eventually since it is an antioxidant itself. In addition, Singapore’s hot and humid will accelerate this process. Hence, we recommend you to store Potent-C™ Serum in the refrigerator if you plan to keep it for a long time (e.g. if you have extra bottles). The vitamin C remains potent as long as there is no extensive browning or foul smell.
Q: How should I apply the serum and in what sequence?
A: Due to the super-light texture of the serum, we recommend you to apply it onto cleansed face, after your toner, before other serums or moisturizers. If you plan to use sheet masks, we will recommend you to apply Potent-C™ Serum before you put on the mask and proceed as you normally would.
Q: Is it safe to use around the eyes?
A: We will not recommend you to use Potent-C™ Serum as an eye serum. Although Potent-C™ Serum is not formulated specifically for use around the eyes, you may gently and briefly brush the tiny bit that is left on your fingers over the eye lids with your eyes closed.
Q: I have sensitive skin, can I use it?
A: Potent-C™ Serum is formulated to suit sensitive skin. The unique combination of L-ascorbic acid and ascorbic acid ester helps reduce the irritations associated with all ascorbic acid formulations in the market. Coupled with a pH of 6.5, Potent-C™ Serum is less irritating to the skin as well.
