The Mammut Men's Alvier HS Hooded Jacket protects you from powder whether you're ski touring or freeriding. Gore-Tex gives this thin three-layer shell reliable waterproof breathable protection in snowy conditions, and the C-Knit backer enhances breathability, moisture management, and comfort on steep skins. Fully taped seams enhance waterproofing by preventing a single snowflake from seeping through. Mammut fixed the Alvier with unique underarm vents that zip down the entire sleeves in order to convert the jacket into a vest. The powder skirt removes for groomer days, and the helmet-compatible hood uses three-way adjustments for secure coverage in windy weather. There are Lycra hand gaiters with thumbholes, hook-and-loop tabs on each cuff, and a jacket-to-pant interface for complete coverage from the cold.
