Instructions for use

1.          Wash hands with soap and water, then remove the filter from the filter bag.

2.          Soak the filter in water for 15 minutes. Make sure the water covers the filter completely.

3.          Hand wash the various filter jug compartments using mild liquid soap and water. Rinse well.

4.          Hold filter under running water for a few seconds until the water runs clear through the filter.  

5.          Insert the filter into the reservoir and press firmly on the filter to ensure a tight seal.

6.          Fill the jug with water, discard the first two batches of filtered water. Refill and use.

7.          Start the exchange indicator (“Memo”) applicable for SWP-3 model, to show the remaining cartridge life.

8.          To ensure optimum performance you should change your cartridge on a regular basis every 2 months.

The electronic “Memo” measures the recommended time of use of your cartridge and automatically reminds you when to change it.

“Memo” needs to reset every time a new cartridge is inserted.

 

How to use the “Memo”(applicable for SWP-3 model only)

1.          To start the exchange indicator

To start “Memo” please press and hold down the “start” button for 5-6 seconds and then remove your finger, the “Memo” will display number 60 days, four bars and one small flashing dot. The small flashing dot in the bottom right hand corner of the display will show that “Memo” is working.

After each day the number will reduce one and after each 15 days one bar will disappear to show the remaining cartridge life.

Change the cartridge when all bars have flashed and the number have been “00”. A new cartridge should be prepared and inserted and the exchange indicator should reset as follows.

2.          To reset the “Memo”

To reset the “Memo” please press and hold down the “start” button for 8-9 seconds, the “Memo” will flash three tomes, after that the “Memo” will display number 60days, four bars and one small flashing dot. The “Memo” will work again. The following steps is as the same as the above

3.          Remarks

During “Memo” working, to stop the” Memo” please press and hold down the “start” button for 5-6 seconds and then remove your finger, the “Memo” will be off. When you start “Memo” again, it will go on showing the remaining cartridge life based the last data.

During “Memo” working, to reset the “Memo” please press and hold down the “start” button for 8-9 seconds, The “Memo” will clear last data and show remaining cartridge life based in original data.

l   When one bar remains in the display, ensure you have a new cartridge ready for exchange.

Useful tips & Precautions

1.          The contaminants or other substances removed or reduced by this water treatment device are not necessarily in you water.

2.          Make certain that use complies with state and local laws and regulations.

3.          The replacement filter cartridge used with this system has a limited service life, which varies depending on usage and water conditions, changes in taste of odor of the water being filtered indicate that the cartridge should be replaced.

4.          For cold water use only. DO NOT FILTER HOT WATER. (MAX 85 F /30 C)

5.          After draining the pitcher, add more water right away to keep filter cartridge wet. If the filter cartridge dries out, it may need to soak before being used, if filter cartridge becomes too dried out may need to be replaced.

6.          Allow water filter completely before pouring or refilling reservoir.

7.          Recommended to keep filtered water refrigerated at all times. After three to four days, replace unused water with fresh water.

8.          All parts EXCEPT THE FILTER CARTRIDGE should be washed regularly, it is important to keep food and beverage equipment clean and sanitary

9.          Pitcher, reservoir, and lid are dishwasher safe.
