3M™ Tape Primer 94
3M™ Primer 94 can be used to promote adhesion of 3M™ adhesive tapes to surfaces such polyethylene, polypropylene, ABS, PET/PBT blends, concrete, wood, glass, metal and painted metal surfaces.
If you are having problems getting 3M™ double sided adhesive tape to adhere well, 3M™ Primer 94 can greatly enhance the adhesive strength of 3M™ adhesive tape on many other surfaces.
Usages for 3M™ Primer 94
– Increase adhesion for vehicle graphics/decorative films especially along edges and crevices where peeling and lifting
– Increase adhesive tape bond on neodymium magnets
– Increase adhesiveness on low surface energy materials like polyethylene, polypropylene, polycarbonate, ABS, PET/PBT blends, concrete, wood

How to use 3M™ Primer 94
*Always work in well ventilated environment with no open flame, spark or fire hazard.
*Always clean the surface for adhesion with isopropyl alcohol pad to remove residue and impurities.
*Apply a thin film of 3M™ Primer 94 on the surfaces that will contact with 3M™ adhesive tape, let it dry for 3-5 minutes but not longer than 30 minutes.
Apply 3M™ adhesive tape on the primed surface and apply firm pressure.
*For best results, leave it to cure 24hrs before using. Most 3M™ acrylic foam adhesive tape achieve approximately 60% adhesion on initial pressure application, 80% after 24 hours and reaches 98% adhesion effectiveness after 72 hours as the adhesive substrates takes time to achieve micro bonding by flowing in to the crevices.
