No assembly is required, just add water and plug it in right from the box. No external plumbing is required, so its also great to take on holiday with you when travelling with your pets.
For blue one, a blue led light indicates when the system is operating. No batteries required, runs on mains power. No need for frequent disposable replacement filters - simply wash the internal filter periodically - it will last for many months if not years.
Important note: a couple of customers have reported problems with the fountain overflowing. This seems to be due to the flow rate on the pump being set too high - the pump has a flow rate controller and it is easy to set, but it is not mentioned in the instructions included. So I have taken photos for you to see. You simply need to pop the lid off (press on both sides where indicated in the photo), then adjust the flow on the pump with the knob identified in another photo here.
