It is truly completely waterproof - I wear it everywear 24/7 - washing dishes, cleaning, bathing babies and myself, the pool, the beach, the river....never leaks at all.The band is awesome, it also is completely happy in or out of water, and fits comfortably. I leave it just loose enough to slide a little to let it have air circulation. It's simple and gets the job done. The hands are easy to read and it goes with almost anything.
