Offset ''Z'' clips are among the most commonly needed picture frame hardware, as the rabbet channels of most picture frames are not deep enough to properly frame most types of artwork! Offset mounting clips are required for most picture framing jobs.
SELECTING THE CORRECT SIZE FOR YOUR JOB:
If your artwork protrudes 1'' outside of your frame''s rabbet channel, you need 1'' offset clips. If your offset is between the sizes of offset clips, the clips can be bent using 2 pairs of pliers, or you can just use the next smallest size. For example, if your offset is 7/8'', use 3/4'' clips!
ANOTHER EXAMPLE: Your canvas sticks out the back of your picture frame by 3/8''. You need... 3/8'' offset clips!
