Teach straw drinking - skip sippy cups altogether!
Sippy cups can cause speech & dental problems later on, whereas straws promote correct oral posture
Comes with a special valve that keeps fluid at the top of the straw - perfect for beginners or kids with oral motor difficulties (only a small amount of effort is required to take a sip). Squeeze the bear to assist drinking. For those who drink too much at a time, the valve also slows the flow of fluid, allowing for smaller, more manageable sips that lower the risk of coughing/choking. If this is not needed, simply trim the tapered end with a pair of scissors (as shown in the 2nd picture).
PLEASE NOTE: this Basic version of the bear bottle kit comes with REGULAR drinking straws. We offer a Basic version of the kit for those who don''t want/need any extra accessories other than the Bottle, valve, and regular straws. If you are looking for the Bear that comes with the extra accessories (a tubing straw and Lip Blok), search for the ULTRA version instead.
