The floor lamp is a bit shorter than I thought it would be but then I didn't check the measurements before purchasing and it is really just fine. I simply thought it would be a bit taller. My only complaint is that the lamp shades, initially, looked a little small for the lamps to me. But I really love the fabric/color of the shades. They look a bit purple/gray when the lamps are turned off which is perfect in our great room since the walls are gray and we have purple accents (as well as navy). I would certainly recommend the set for the price. The only other thing of note is that the switch on the lamp is in the normal place - on the part that holds the light bulb - which accommodates a 3-way bulb. The clean, interwoven design of the black metal base of the table lamps draws focus and enhances the couch they border, without being overwhelming. Across the 12x15 ft. room, the thin floor lamp with a miniature design underneath the matching shade, ties the look together.
