Product Description
This is a really neat Pterosaur tooth from the Hell Creek Formation. It measures 1.336 inches long. Pterosaurs were flying reptiles that lived during the dinosaur age. Most pterosaurs had elongated jaws full of thin, pointed teeth. These creatures were carnivores and scavengers, eating fish they caught with their long beaks, as well as feeding on the carcasses of animals that had died. This tooth dates back to the Late Cretaceous period, approximately 66 million years ago. Included with the tooth is a nice glass-topped display box.
