Evening Primrose Oil is rich in essential fatty acid - 70% linoleic acid and 15% gamma-linolenic acid. Both linoleic acid and gamma-linolenic acid belongs to the omega-6 fatty acid. The body converts gamma-linolenic acid into hormones. Not all omega-6 fatty acids are healthy, the healthier omega-6 is found in evening primrose oil.
Evening Primrose Oil is commonly used by women to reduce premenstrual syndrome (PMS) and to relief menstrual related condition sued as breast pain. It is also used to alleviate itchiness caused by eczema and dermatitis. It is also associated with improving skin and hair health.
