The history of Boatisland dates back to the Gold Rush in the western United States in 1980s. Back then, a number of wealthy people who owned mines in the region of coastal California was living there, and their lives were mainly concentrated around the marina leisure. Boating and yachting were the most popular leisure within those wealthy people, and it was said that numerous boats were docked along side the coast. With the development of boating and yachting leisure, matching outfits for their fashion were also the trend. Shoes were made after the looks of boats and yachts, and hence became known as the boat shoe. The boat shoes were especially manufactured with high quality materials, and targeted the wealthy Californian people. The advantage of Boatisland boat shoes was especially highlighted with the fact that there was no slipperiness even on wet surfaces of boats.
