STAINLESS STEEL 304 BENEFITS & ADVANTAGES

Stainless steel have high oxidation resistance. This is so with more than 12% of chromium in the steel.  The chromium establishes a layer of chromium oxide film on the material when it is exposed to oxygen. Chromium oxide layer is invisible and it keeps the stainless steel shiny.

The film is also impermeable to water and air, which protects the metal underneath. Even if the surface of the material is scratched, the chromium oxide layer will rapidly reforms itself

on the materials.
