20g. Nizoral cream is a medicine for treating skin infections by fungi yeasts. 

It use for difference infections of the trubk, the groin, the feet and the hands. Certain skin infection recognizable by reddish brown patch with yellow or white scaling, usually in the face and one the chest (seborrhoeic dermatitis), are also treated with Nizoral cream. 


Nizoral cream contain the synthetic boardspectrum antifungal agent, ketoconazole. Each gram contains 20 mg ketoconazole. The cream formular consist of propylene glycol, stearyl alcohol, cetyl alcohol, sorbitan stearate, polysorbate, isoporpyl myristate, soduim sulphite and purified water. 

Properties 
Ketoconazole, a synthetic imidazole dioxolane derivative, has a potent antimycotic activity against dermatophytes such as Trichophyton sp., Epidermophyton floccosum and Microsporum sp. and against yeasts. Especially the effect on Pityrosporum sp. is very pronounced. 
Usually Ketoconazole acts very rapidly on pruritus which is commonly seen in dermatophyte and yeasts infection as well as skin codition related with the presence of Pityrosporum sp. This symtomatic improvement is observed before the first signs of healing are observed.
