The lip balm applies with a transparent and non-oily matte finish. Tips: What makes our lip balm different? The first thing you'll notice is its firmness. Not to worry, this is by design and it begins to soften upon use. The reason for its unique firmness is the high quality Candelilla Wax that we are committed to using in our products. Harvested from the Candelilla shrub found in southern Texas and New Mexico. The wax forms on the shrub to help trap in moisture against the burning desert sun. It does the same thing for your lips. Combined with the healing moisture of Coconut Oil, Shea Butter and Vitamin E, our lip balm provides intense and sustained hydration to the lips. Good to know: When we were developing our lip balm, the most frequent complaint we heard about other products on the market was: "I like lip balm... but it doesn't really work". We agreed with this. Other products on the market most often don't work. Most manufactured lip balms contain artificial fragrances, and even "all natural" lip balms often contain low grade essential oils. These fragrances and oils are either made with or distilled using alcohol which dries the skin and lips. Those fruity smells can be an effective marketing tool but are part of the reason that many lip balms don't work. Our products and lip balm are all unscented and made from the highest quality natural ingredients.
