How to Paint by Number
- Clear an area and cover with old newspapers to keep clean.
- Prepare a cup of water to wash your brush when changing colour to paint.
- Match the number stated on paint containers with the pre-printed number on the canvas. The paint container without number sticker is to paint on the grey shaded / shadow area on the canvas.
- Use the paint directly and do not need to add water. You do not need to paint the number in sequence. However, it is advisable to paint starting from the largest area to the smallest, and from top to the bottom.
- Wash your brush before starting on a new colour.
- Repeat with a new colour until you have painted every area and the painting is totally dry.
- Congratulations on completing your masterpiece! Use the hook attached in the package to hang it on your wall.
Tips for using Paint-by-Number Kits
- Acrylic paint is quick drying and water soluble. Hence you must cover the lid well after painting each colour. However you can use a few drops of water to thin it if it becomes too dry.
- If you’ve painted a wrong colour, you can wait for the area to dry and re-paint. Or wipe it off with tissue if it is still wet .
- Don't forget to clean the brush with water and cover the paint lid when you take a break.
- Recommended for children above 3 years.
