The smell was so different that I couldn't stand to be near myself.. uggh. I do recommend it if you can get past the smell. It is the better one of the other fragrances offered. What I remember in the larger bottle, which I have purchased several times, was a rich, warm, buttery scent with an overtone of sweetness of an exotic nature. Now, there is a hint ofa plastic/ play-dohish type hue that I cannot get past. I have used it a few times and, while I am getting use to it, it is not a butter lotion I think will repurchase. The scent does not linger. This could definitely be my fault, since I am so sensitive to scents, but if you are anything like me this will give you idea of how this love-hate relationship has developed. 5 stars for it's hydration properties and 3 stars for it's smell. Walmart also did an excellent job in shipping. I love the smell it reminds me of cheesecake like a caramel cheesecake actually. It makes my skin smooth before I used it my skin was somewhat smooth, but now it is smooth yet very silky feeling. I would definitely recommend this to friends, I even posted it online about how much I love Burt's Bees products. I am glad my mother told me about this because she is a Burt's Bees user also thanks to a client she works for that got her "HOOKED". Haha Now I am hooked on Burt's Bees I am glad I went from chemical to natural it makes me feel like a whole new person. You can never EVER go wrong with Burt's Bees but if you say you have a problem with a product you probably used too much of it. You must use small intricate amounts not too much because you be dissatisfied. Since I had never heard of cupuacu butter, I did a little research on it. Amazing stuff!! I was delighted that these two wonderful butters had been paired together!! This lotion is not thick and absorbs very well. My skin stayed moisturized for OVER 24 hours after applying it!! My only "dislike" (and it is not a biggie) is that it doesn't really smell much like a cocoa butter lotion. It does have a VERY mild cocoa scent, but it actually smells more like vanilla. Not bad.... just not what I expected from a cocoa butter lotion.
