CollectA is determined to bring us figures that are out of the ordinary. In 2012, the company added the prey series to their line with the introduction of a Dead Triceratops figure complete with open wounds, blood, and bite marks. The first of this type of figure in any major toy company. They've since added the Stegosaurus and T-Rex models.
CollectA hasn't skimped on the gory details in bringing Tyrannosaurus Rex back to decomposing non-life. The T. rex corpse is fully feathered and curled up backward. The figure's left side is virtually intact, although you can clearly see a huge bite wound on the neck and huge open wounds with vital organs clearly visible.
It is hard to imagine the mighty T. rex on the other end of a fight or hunt: the loser or even the prey. Of course, this is not how nature works. Truth is, even the biggest, most powerful, and most fearsome predator will eventually meet its match.
Each prehistoric sculpture has been approved by Anthony Beeson, a well respected expert in palaeoimagery who is also an art librarian, archaeologist and collector, based in the city of Bristol, England.
