It's an OK palette, but not great. It's made up of 5 colors: A frosty pale lavender highlighter, a matte plummy brown, a matte dark gray, a shimmery taupe, and a shimmery plum. I thought these were a nice balance of textures for a quint. However, I was looking in the ingredients, and I'm not sure what the "clay" component is, if it exists at all. The pigmentation is actually pretty good (see photo; swatches on bare skin). I love that e.l.f. used grayish and plummy shades, as opposed to dark browns and black/charcoals we see from most brands. Unfortunately, the texture of the four smoky shades are kind of dry and very powdery with lots of fallout. The texture of the highlighter shade is very dry and the shimmer is chunky. I really think this palette needs primer to perform decently (see eye look photos, over primer). The shadows blend nicely and last well over primer. They did not irritate my sensitive eyes. Packaging is compact and easy to take to fit in a makeup bag or purse. It's made of sleek black plastic and includes a mirror. No applicators are included.Written by a customer while visiting eyeslipsface.comWas this review helpful?Yes (0)No (0)Report"Smoked to perfection" is not close to perfect3/3/2017Average rating:2out of5stars, based onreviews3/3/2017by Not26anymoreI picked up the "Smoked to perfection" palette when I was looking for some purple shades. I really wanted to like this but I just couldn't make it work. The shades are very inconsistent, some are pigmented but the highlighter shade and the lid shade (the prettiest looking purple) don't show up well at all. I had to put a lot on and it wasn't consistent. The highlighter shade is mostly chunky glitter. The "base" shade was too dark for me to use as a base and I couldn't get the crease shade to blend at all. I spent way more time than I wanted attempting to blend! There was a lot of fallout and even with primer it faded after a couple hours, also very unevenly. I think I'm going to return it.Written by a customer while visiting eyeslipsface.comWas this review helpful?Yes (0)No (0)ReportRead all reviews
