Sigma APO Teleconverter 1.4x EX DG
For Nikon DSLR cameras

Description
  • Teleconverter lens for Nikon SLR cameras
  • Increases the focal length by the power of 1.4
  • Multi-layer lens coating and lens design reduces flare and ghosting

The dedicated APO teleconverter can be mounted between select lenses and camera body to increase the focal length by the power of 1.4x. The new multi layer coating reduces flare and ghost, which is a common problem with digital cameras. They demonstrate best performance with DG series lenses. They also offer maximum photography magnification by 1.4 x, without any variation in the minimum focusing distance. Compact and lightweight, these teleconverter convert your lenses into longer focal-length lenses, so you dont have to do a lot of unnecessary footwork.

About exposure
When the converter is attached to Lenz, the brightness of the lens is reduced by about 1 at 1.4 × and by 2 × at 2 ×, but in any exposure mode, the exposure will be correct with the usual operation.
For lenses marked with a ● in the table above, the reduced aperture value will be displayed on the automatically converted camera. For other lenses, when making exposure decisions based on the total exposure meter in M mode, set the aperture value to 1 stop with 1.4 × to the exposure weighing value, and set the 2 aperture stop side value.
Phocas relations
AF photography is possible for lenses marked "AF" in the table. For lenses marked "MF", only MF can be used.
Even for lenses that are marked as "MF" for Nikon, some AFs operate, but we can not guarantee focusing. There is also a model that places a burden on the mechanism inside the lens, which may cause a malfunction. Be sure to use it with MF.

* 1 Zoom operation range when installing the converter is 100 mm to 500 mm.
* 2 AF shooting is possible in the range of ∞ to 0.52 m with 1.4 ×. For shorter distances than 0.52 m, use with MF.
* 3 AF shooting is possible in the range of ∞ to 0.45 m with 1.4 ×. For shorter distances than 0.45 m, use with MF.
* 4 AF shooting is possible in the range of ∞ to 0.53 m with 1.4 ×. For shorter distances than 0.53 m, use with MF.
* 5 AF shooting is possible within the range from ∞ to 1.2 m with 1.4 ×. For MF shorter than 1.2 m, use with MF.
* 6 AF shooting is possible within the range from ∞ to 0.67 m with 1.4 ×. For shorter distances than 0.67 m, use with MF.
