The PEN Lite E-PL7 is the ultimate selfie camera, making selfies easy with a flip-down touch screen and selfie mode to create the ultimate selfie every time. Selfies can be captured with ease via the touch screen or shutter button, and when used with the Olympus range of lenses, the E-PL7 takes selfies to a new level. Photos can then be transferred to smart devices on the spot using the built-in Wi-Fi, allowing you to share everything with friends and family.


Touch Selfie

The large, high-resolution flip-down touchscreen makes taking selfies easier than ever. The E-PL7 includes a dedicated selfie mode and VCM image stabilisation to suppress camera shake that often occurs when the camera is operated with a single hand. Now selfies will be beautiful, high-quality images for everyone to enjoy.
To make taking selfies easier and more fun, this model is equipped with a large, high-resolution flip-down touchscreen, a Selfie Mode, and VCM image stabiliser which compensates for camera shake which often occurs when holding the camera with a single hand.

Dedicated mode for Touch Selfies
By flipping the LCD all the way down, Selfie Mode is activated. When in iAUTO this turns e-Portrait mode on, making skin look bright and smooth, and the custom self timer icon appears to let you select interval selfies.

Flip-down touchscreen perfect for selfies
Equipped with a large, high-resolution touch panel for intuitive focusing that flips down 180 degrees, the E-PL7 allows for easy touch shutter operation with no risk of your arm obstructing the lens. Since the monitor flips downward, a flash can be attached and used, creating beautiful selfies in any situation.

Remote control selfies via a smartphone
With the camera's built-in Wi-Fi function you can use your smartphone as a remote control. With this feature you can set the camera down, view your selfie in real time and adjust settings to achieve beautiful selfies every time.






Smart Device Connectivity

Share the high-quality images on social networks, or remotely control your camera with your smart device together with the camera's built-in Wi-Fi and Olympus Image Share app. The E-PL7 is the first model in the PEN Lite series to feature built-in Wi-Fi. It makes taking photos more enjoyable than ever before.
Using Olympus Image Share, this feature allows you import high quality images captured on the E-PL7 to your smartphone for easy sharing on social networking services, and enables the smartphone to become a remote control. This model is the first in the PEN Lite series to feature built-in Wi-Fi, making photography more fun than ever before.

Easy connection to your smartphone via a QR code
For ease of initial connection of the camera to the smartphone, a QR code is displayed on the camera, which you can scan with your smartphone using the Olympus Image Share app.  It only takes a couple of quick steps.

Full featured remote selfie functions
Self timer shooting, sequential shooting, and interval shooting can all be controlled remotely from your smartphone. The remote function allows you to adjust settings such as the shooting interval and the number of shots for sequential shooting, making jump selfies easy to capture.

Remote movie recording
Utilising Olympus Image Share and the built-in Wi-Fi* you can remotely control movie recording time, and when used with the interval shooting function you can record interval movies.

Transfer photos to your smartphone for quick and easy sharing
Captured photos can be quickly transferred on the spot to your smartphone. Use the E-PL7's Share Order function to mark images you want to transfer and then touch the share button on the playback screen after shooting to transfer marked images at a single touch when connected to a smartphone.










Art Filters expand your photographic expression

To further expand your photographic expression the E-PL7 features two new Art Filters, Vintage and Partial Colour. Additionally, a new Art Effect is featured in the E-PL7, Shade Effect, which adds a line of shadow to either of top, bottom, left or right side of your image.

Shade Effect has also been added to Art Effects for adding bands of shadow on the left and right (or top and bottom) to makes the image spread outward. It boasts a beautiful 16.05 million dot high-sensitivity Live MOS sensor, the new TruePic VII image processor for image rendering, 8.0 fps high-speed sequential shooting, and in-body image stabilisation system that compensates for camera shake with any attached interchangeable lens.
This model is generously packed with photographic technology that lets you instantly take beautiful photos, such as the amazing high sensitivity 16.05 million dot Live MOS sensor, the new TruePic VII image processor for maximising lens potential, max. 8.0 fps high-speed sequential shooting, and in-body image stabilisation for stabilisation with any interchangeable lens.

High-sensitivity and beautiful quality 16.05 million dot Live MOS sensor
With the Live MOS Sensor, the E-PL7 retains details in shadow, and accurately captures night scenes and dark indoor environments. The wide dynamic range makes smooth tone representation possible and enables high contrast scenes to be captured as well. The ISO LOW (ISO100) lets you use the wide aperture of fast lenses during day time without an ND filter to take photos with beautiful defocusing in the background.

TruePic VII brings out the potential of any lens
The E-PL7 is equipped with the TruePic VII image processor which it has inherited from the flagship model E-M1. TruePic VII optimises sharpness according to the optical characteristics of the attached lens and aperture (F) value, performs high-precision demosaicing optimised for the low-pass filter less sensor, and features Fine Detail II for reducing false colours. The processor brings out the potential of lenses to achieve sharpness and high resolution; and also features Real Colour Technology, an Olympus proprietary image processing technology. Real Colour Technology is able to reproduce colours that are thought to be difficult reproduce, such as emerald green and yellow, more faithfully and true to life.

FAST AF provides ultra fast focusing so you never miss a shot
The AF target area covers most of the image area with many focus points, and lets you focus on any small subject in the area. It also features more AF functions such as Super Spot AF and Small AF Target, which lets you focus on a tiny part of an image, and Eye-Detection AF that automatically focuses on the eye of a person.

Up to 8.0 fps of high speed sequential shooting
The continuous shooting feature allows the image capture of moving subjects. The high ISO, high speed sensor and high performance shutter allows the E-PL7 achieve up to 8.0 fps sequential shooting(S-AF mode). Up to 3.7 fps is possible in Continuous AF (C-AF) mode which continually tracks focus on a moving subject allowing the capture images without missing a single moment.
 
In-body Image Stabilisation for impressive shooting in dimly lit environments
The E-PL7 is equipped with an in-body VCM 3-axis image stabilisation system. This feature is highly useful for holding the camera steady to take selfies and for shooting in dimly lit locations. The in-body stabiliser allows you to enjoy stable shots at any time regardless of the lens attached, with the stabilisation results viewable on the rear monitor. This allows you to focus and compose shots without any blurring.
