| IOPE Air Cushion XP in shade N21 |
There are 2 shades: 21 (Fair) and 23 (Light) and 3 Finishes: Natural Finish (N), Full Coverage (C), and a Shimmer Finish (S). I picked the N21 because I do get quite light in the winter times, and given my unpredictable skin finishes I didn’t want to risk going either Full coverage or Shimmer. A natural finish is best for everyday wear anyway!
You know what else I want to rave about? IOPE’s Air Cushion Compact has a SPF50 and provides both UVA and UVB protection! SPF is soooo important, yes even in the winter!
How I usually apply it is I use deep patting motions to go over one area, then when it semi dries, I go over it again if I need additional coverage (since it’s super buildable!)
Results time! Look at the amount (and size) or pores on the BEFORE shot! O.O It seems to be very prone to oiliness and acne right? No. Checkout the “after” shot, you can’t see my pores anymore (YAY!) but the flakey skin is so much more visible. It’s like my skin can never win! But overall the cushion covered most of my imperfections without caking over!
| After full face makeup |
O Hai!!!! Here’s a full face shot after I applied the IOPE Air Cushion and finished the rest of my makeup! Did I also mention I changed my hair color too?!?!?!?! #soexcited OK but back to the cushion:
Final Verdict:
The IOPE Air Cushion XP feels extremely natural on my skin, it doesn’t cake up my pores and doesn’t make me shine like a greaseball either. Compared to the Holika Holika BB Cushion, it’s definitely lighter and more for daily wear. It does have SPF50 and PA+++ , which if you know me, will know that I am the sunscreen POPO and will give anything with sunscreen a HUGEEEEE checkmark! Another thing I like about it is that it is very buildable. The initial coverage is set to be sheer, but if you wait for the first layer to settle into your skin then apply a next over the first, it can give you more coverage if that’s what you need. You could also layer some loose powder on top if you want to set the Air cushion and provide additional coverage. Another thing I like is that it does not break me out! That’s super important especially when my skin is already going nuts. I would recommend this Air Cushion to those with dry to combination skin, and who is after that natural finish!

MAKEUP REVIEWS: IOPE AIR CUSHION XP
Nowadays, foundation had obvious advances compared with the first dawn, from traditional liquid to AA Cream, BB Cream or even CC Cream. It always makes girls to be crazy for each appear. Producers also continue to create new products to meet ladies’ all difficult demands and of course it leads to appear full range of beauty products with new technical innovations. We really need to recognize that Korean Beauty Technology is too great and quick-witted. Makeup trends of Korean actress/actors or idols are more and more popular all over the world through Hallyu wave. Why? Because it is so beautiful, it’s really natural and elegant.
In fact, Korean girls often make up carefully with 7 layers at least, but they look natural as if they only use a light base. It thanks to skillful makeup skills. You want to have a perfect foundation but you don’t want spend too much time, so you should try Cushion. And today, we would want to review about one of the hottest cushion, IOPE AIR CUSHION XP.

Cushion is one of liquid foundations with the mixture of many functions. Especially, it helps to save time and be suitable for natural makeup. It is really hot if you see series of products from all brands, from popular brands such as: The face shop, Innisfree to high-ranking brands like IOPE, Hera or Sulwhasoo. Its design is very simple. It is liquid like water and is soaked in a foam rubber like sponge. You only use an attached-cotton to apply it. It is suitable for both beginners and professionals.
- FUNTIONS (According to advertiser):

- Moisturizer for skin.
- Control oil and help to keep dry foundation whole day.
- Whitening.
- Protecting skin from UV(SPF50+/PA+++ )
- Help to have a natural, glow foundation
- What it is. A unique formula-soaked sponge that has all the benefits of a BB cream (anti-aging, moisturizing, skin-evening coverage and SPF protection). It comes with an equally innovative non-absorbing puff that wicks the formula off of the sponge and effortlessly applies evenly onto your face, for that dewy no-makeup, makeup look.
- Can be reapplied. Traditional BB creams are designed to be applied once a day. The air cushion, on the other hand, can be reapplied for touch-ups throughout the day (think of it as a wet compact). This is beneficial because as all dermatologists recommend, you need to reapply SPF to get the protection you need as it wears away with time and sweat. That being said...
- Ultra sun protection. SPF 50+/PA+++ to be exact. Ah-mazing!
- Cooling. Your skin is instantly soothed and cooled upon application. Feels great, especially in the summer.
- Hydrating. You know that dewy, flawless finish that all Korean actresses seem to have? Well, I think we're ALL in on their little secret.
- For sensitive/irritable skin. Read the reviews from our very own customers who have tried this product. They have stated that they have very sensitive skin and reviewed that the formula worked beautifully with their skin.
- PACKAGINGS:
The IOPE Air Cushion XP has a very elegant and sturdy packaging. It's great for travelling and carrying around in your purse for touch-ups. I love that it has a sponge that fits into the packaging and a big mirror!! This is already more practicable than anything I've ever purchased in Germany beauty-related.
The cushion foundation is sealed so you know it is knew, unused and also to prevent the cushion from getting dry. It weights about 15g, and you will get a equivalent refill when buying this product.
- TONE:

Things to keep in mind:
- The lower the number, the lighter the color.
- Tones starting with the "N" has a more natural finish
- Tones starting with a "C" has more coverage
- Tones starting with a "S" has a slight shimmery finish
- OIL CONTROL:
After applying this product, it helps to keep letter T-area to dry in 6 hours in winter for mix skin. For dry or common skin, it will last longer. So great for Korean foundation!
- PERFORMANCE:

I got the shade C21 (I am MAC shade NC15). 21 is the lightest color when it comes to Korean foundations/BB creams and usually they suit me just fine because I am really pale. They also have a 23 shade but I personally thought it wasn't that much darker, just a bit more yellow. I personally found the 21 to be pretty neutral and it's really neither yellow nor pink. The C stands for Cover. If you don't need as much cover as I do, you could purchase their N-shades which stand for Neutral. The cushion foundation has SPF50+ and PA+++ (although it is important to note that Korea did not adopt the "PA++++" system, so the highest statement you will find is PA+++ although it may be equivalent to PA++++)

As you can see, there are very subtle differences.
Believe it or not, you really can't go wrong with the tones because the product is so sheer and very blendable with many skin tones from light peach all the way to medium olive.
I have to emphasize that this product is not for someone that is looking for major coverage. You will be disappointed if you are the type of person who likes the super done-up look. Think of this as your go-to daily, tinted moisturizer type of look.
Don't think these tones match you? Check out AmorePacific's cc line - they have a very similar line available with a larger spectrum tones since they now cater to the international market. It's a little bit pricier than the IOPE brand but a small price to pay to get access to this amazing product. (They are sister company's so I imagine the formula isn't that different!)
Skin-evening, natural coverage: I can actually wear all tones, depending on if I'm trying to look lighter, more shimmery or natural.
