I suspect that stems from a quality control issue at the manufacturer, because I did not experience any issues with the car at all. The only gripe I have is that there is no way to control the speed. There is a "trigger" on the control unit that is basically an on off switch. There is no way to pull the trigger half way to get the car to move at a moderate speed. The car does move at a pretty fast clip. The car was driven into the wall a few times and down the stairs and it kept moving. I decided to take it outside and run it out on the street. The range was acceptable. I had control of the vehicle while it was on the other side of the street. I couldn't run it past the end of the property line. I am guessing about 15 to 20 feet.
